Google Business Profile Cases I’ve Worked On

Creating and managing a Google Business Profile (GBP/GMB) isn’t always simple. Google has strict policies. Suspensions can happen. And verification steps can be frustrating. That’s where I come in.

I help businesses get verified and stay visible on Google Search and Maps—without stress or delays. Here are three real projects where I helped clients fix and verify their profiles the right way.

GMB Suspended

Case Study #1: Cleaning Company — GMB/GBP Setup & Reinstatement

On April 15, 2025, I set up a new Google Business Profile for a cleaning company. Everything was entered correctly—business info, service areas, photos, and an SEO-friendly description.

Just five days later, on April 20, Google suspended the profile. They said it didn’t meet their guidelines, but didn’t explain what was wrong.

On April 21, I reviewed the entire profile. I checked for possible issues and made corrections. Then I submitted a reinstatement request with a clear explanation. I also helped the client get ready in case Google asked for more info.

On April 25, we received an email: “Your appeal was approved.
The profile was live again, showing on Google Search and Maps. Calls, messages, and visibility returned immediately.

Case Study #2: Moving Company GMB/GBP — Multiple Verifications

In August 2024, I helped a moving company with their Google Business Profile. The initial verification worked, and the profile went live.

But a few days later, Google suspended it again. This time, they asked for video verification—a common step for high-risk categories like movers.

In early September, I guided the client through exactly what to show in the video. After submission, Google reviewed it and reinstated the profile within a few days.

Later that month, Google suspended the profile again, this time requesting a live video call.

The client was frustrated, but I stayed with him. I explained how the live call works and helped them prepare with documents and walkthrough tips.

The live verification took place in October 2024. A few days later, we got confirmation:
“Your business profile has been verified.”

The listing stayed live after that and now shows in map results and local searches.

Case Study #3: Post-Rejection Issue — Fixed GBP Posting Violation

One of my clients had a different problem. They couldn’t post updates or offers on their Google Business Profile. Every time they tried, Google rejected the post for violating the policy.

I reviewed the post and found the issue. Some of the content and formatting used restricted keywords that triggered Google’s filter.

I rewrote the post using clean, compliant language. I also fixed the formatting and made sure all media followed guidelines.

After that, the post was approved. The client continued posting without issues, and engagement started growing again.
